We are thrilled to have been named the Best of South Carolina Regional winner in the Shopping Malls category. With less than 10% of South Carolina businesses receiving this prestigious accolade, we feel honored!
Municipal Association for the Joseph P. Riley Jr Award, City of Mauldin, 2025
This year, the City of Mauldin won, for the first time, the Joseph P. Riley Jr Award for Economic Development, awarded by the Municipal Association of South Carolina. Although Mauldin has grown substantially in recent years, it lacked a traditional downtown. The city wanted to cultivate a definable sense of space and community that could attract businesses and residents. It partnered with Hughes Investments to develop the pedestrian-focused, mixed-used Bridgeway Station

We are so honored to have been awarded Business of The Year by the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce! We built BridgeWay with the goal of fostering positive growth and uniting the community in a vibrant space, and we are honored with this recognition. We look forward to continuing to make a positive impact for Mauldin and our surrounding communities in 2025, and for many years to come!
TCA Tilt‑Up Achievement Award, 2023
BridgeWay Station Block A — South Carolina’s first six‑story tilt‑up concrete mixed‑use building — and Harper General Contractors was honored for its architectural innovation and structural excellence.
CAGC Construction Excellence (Pinnacle) Award, 2023
The pedestrian bridge spanning I‑385—integrating pedestrian access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail—was recognized by the Carolina Associated General Contractors as a standout in design, engineering, and public/private collaboration. The award recognizes The Design Build (DB) team of United Infrastructure Group (UIG), Johnston Design Group (JDG) and Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) working together for Hughes Investments, Inc. and the City of Mauldin.
